Good article and on target. Everything I've read over many years of up and down times says that the companies that continue their marketing during the down turns come out stronger and better positioned with more clients when the economy turns strong again.
They are the first ones to get additional business since they've stayed in front of their customers and therefore in their customers' minds. Makes sense.
We currently promote destinations in Asia Pacific regions so if you need any contact details for destination specialists let me know and I am happy to provide.
It is certainly within the fly time of a lot of our groups, so I can always put it in the mix!
One of the things that we are starting to do (we begin with a Europe Site in September) is to bring a videographer with us so that we can start to document fams/sites/events so that we will be able to post them here and on PlannerWire.
We want to do this so that in addition to us, other planners can learn about destinations that they are unfamiliar with....
Do you ever have groups for Punta Cana, the Dominican Republic?
